Interactive Discussion of Clinical Cases with LeishVet Members
Learn, Discuss, Decide — Together
One of the highlights of the second day of LeishVet UP! will be our highly interactive Clinical Cases Session, designed to bring participants closer to real-life decision making in canine and feline leishmaniosis.
This 90-minute session will combine teamwork, clinical reasoning, expert guidance, and audience interaction in a dynamic workshop environment.
How Will the Session Work?
Participants will be divided into small working groups of 8–10 veterinarians seated at dedicated tables. The workshop will run simultaneously in two rooms, allowing participants to take part in this hands-on experience.
Each room will work on:
- 2 clinical cases of canine leishmaniosis (CanL)
- 1 clinical case of feline leishmaniosis (FeL)
Every case will be supervised by experienced LeishVet members, who will guide discussions and support participants throughout the exercise.
A Real Clinical Approach
Before the session, participants will receive a written case summary including:
- signalment,
- anamnesis,
- and clinical examination findings.
Case summaries may also be available on the congress website one week before the event, allowing attendees to familiarise themselves with the cases in advance.
Each table will nominate a spokesperson who will interact with the faculty during the final discussion.
Working as a Clinical Team
During the workshop, each group will be asked to:
- identify the main clinical problems,
- discuss possible differential diagnoses,
- decide which laboratory and imaging tests are necessary,
- evaluate patient status,
- and propose treatment and follow-up plans.
Participants will have 30 minutes to analyse their case together. During this time, LeishVet members will rotate between tables, answer questions, provide requested diagnostic results, and stimulate discussion.
The goal is to recreate the collaborative thinking process that takes place in everyday clinical practice.
Interactive Discussion with LeishVeters
Following the group work, the LeishVet faculty will present and discuss each case with the entire audience using clinical images, laboratory findings, and supporting slides.
This interactive discussion will allow participants to compare approaches, challenge decisions, and explore different diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in a practical and engaging way.
Test Your Knowledge Live
To conclude the session, participants will take part in a live interactive quiz.
The questionnaire will include case-based questions designed to reinforce key learning points and encourage audience participation through real-time voting and discussion.

Why You Should Join
- practical,
- collaborative,
- clinically relevant,
- and highly interactive.
Rather than simply listening to lectures, participants will actively work through real clinical challenges alongside internationally recognised LeishVet experts.
Whether you are looking to improve your diagnostic reasoning, discuss treatment strategies, or exchange ideas with colleagues, this session promises to be one of the most engaging experiences of LeishVet UP!
We look forward to seeing you there!
