A PROPOS DU GROUPE LEISHVET

LeishVet est un groupe de vétérinaires scientifiques de structures académiques des pays du bassin méditerranéen et d’Amérique du Nord dont l’intérêt s’est porté sur les aspects cliniques et scientifiques de la Leishmaniose canine. Son objectif principal est d’améliorer les connaissances sur les différents aspects de la leishmaniose en médecine vétérinaire et santé publique, incluant la production de recommandations de consensus fondées sur l’analyse des connaissance récentes issues de la littérature et l’expérience clinique en vue d’apporter la meilleure interprétation actualisée sur les infections leishmaniennes chez les chiens, chats et autres espèces animales.

ACERCA DO LEISHVET

O LeishVet é um grupo de cientistas médico-veterinários de instituições académicas da bacia do Mediterrâneo e da América do Norte com interesse clínico e científico na LCan. O seu principal objetivo é melhorar o conhecimento sobre os diferentes aspetos da leishmaniose em medicina veterinária e saúde pública, incluindo o desenvolvimento de recomendações a partir da literatura recente baseada na evidência e da experiência clínica representativa da compreensão mais atual da infeção por Leishmania em cães, gatos e outros animais.

SOBRE EL GRUPO LEISHVET

LeishVet es un grupo de veterinarios científicos procedentes de instituciones académicas de la Cuenca Mediterránea y Norte América con un interés principal, clínico y científico, por Lcan y LF. Como principal objetivo LeishVet pretende mejorar los conocimientos sobre los distintos aspectos de la leishmaniosis en medicina veterinaria y salud pública, incluyendo el desarrollo de recomendaciones consensuadas basadas en la literatura científica, reciente y evicenciada, y en la experiencia clínica, como representación del entendimiento más actual sobre la infección por L. infantum en medicina veterinaria.

Η ομάδα LeishVet είναι μια ομάδα επιστημόνων κτηνιάτρων από ακαδημαϊκά ιδρύματα στη λεκάνη της Μεσογείου και στη Βόρεια Αμερική με πρωταρχικό κλινικό και επιστημονικό ενδιαφέρον για την CanL. Ο κύριος σκοπός της ομάδας είναι η βελτίωση της γνώσης σε διαφορετικές πτυχές της λεϊσμανίωσης στην κτηνιατρική και τη δημόσια υγεία, συμπεριλαμβανομένης της δημοσιοποίησης οδηγιών που απηχούν την ομόφωνη γνώμη των μελών της με βάση την πρόσφατη τεκμηριωμένη βιβλιογραφία και κλινική εμπειρία που αντιπροσωπεύει την πλέον σύγχρονη κατανόηση της λοίμωξης με Leishmania στους σκύλους, τις γάτες και άλλα ζώα.

LeishVet is a scientific association founded in 2005 during Worldleish 3 forum held in Palermo (Italy) by veterinarians from academic institutions of different countries focusing their research and clinical activity on leishmaniosis in veterinary medicine.
Since 2008 LeishVet is officially registered in Spain at the National Register of Associations for non profit effects.
LeishVet activities are devoted to:
Offer to practitioners, researchers, students and human health authorities a consensus statement on the clinical management of veterinarian leishmaniosis up to date with the current evidence based knowledge on the disease.
Standardize criteria for the diagnosis of veterinarian leishmaniosis.
Develop initiative actions and research on leishmaniosis.
