LeishVet UP!, Update for Practitioners, will take place at the Rikli Balance Hotel in Bled, Slovenia.

Overlooking Lake Bled
The Rikli Balance Hotel has 150 themed hotel rooms, great cuisine and a complex of 10 conference halls.
The hotel also boasts a wellness centre with sauna and indoor and outdoor pool. Rikli’s relaxation park and barefoot path is just next to the hotel.

The closest airport is the Jože Pučnik Airport (Ljubljana Airport) 35 km away.
The Rikli Balance Hotel is situated on a hill overlooking Lake Bled. On the motorway from Ljubljana, take the Lesce/Bled exit. At the roundabout, take the second exit. At the traffic lights, continue straight on towards the lake, then turn left at the next junction. Drive on until you see the sign for SAVICA and RIKLI BALANCE or the hotels themselves on your right.
The closest bus stop is 800 m away, while the railway station is 3.3 km from the hotel.

ÜBER DIE LEISHVET-GRUPPE

Bei LeishVet handelt es sich um eine Gruppe von Veterinärwissenschaftlern aus akademischen Institutionen im Mittelmeerraum und Nordamerika, deren primäres klinisches und wissenschaftliches Interesse die Leishmaniose beim Hund ist. Hauptziel der Gruppe ist die Verbesserung des Wissens über verschiedene Aspekte der Leishmaniose in der Tiermedizin und im Public-Health-Bereich. Dies umfasst auch die Entwicklung von Konsensusempfehlungen auf der Basis der jüngsten evidenzbasierten Literatur und klinischer Erfahrungen, die den neuesten Erkenntnissen über Leishmania-Infektionen bei Hunden, Katzen und anderen Tieren entsprechen.

PRESENTAZIONE DEL GRUPPO LEISHVET

LeishVet è un gruppo formato da veterinari appartenenti a istituzioni accademiche del bacino del Mediterraneo e del Nord America con un prevalente interesse clinico e scientifico per la leishmaniosi canina. Il suo scopo principale è migliorare le conoscenze su vari aspetti della leishmaniosi in campo medico veterinario e della salute pubblica, inclusa anche l’elaborazione di raccomandazioni condivise scaturite dalla più recente letteratura basata su evidenze scientifiche e dalla esperienza clinica, le quali possono fornire la visone più aggiornata sull’infezione da Leishmania nel cane, nel gatto e in altri animali.
